Discover how Filip Kobylecki Law, PLC can assist with citizenship through naturalization in your immigration journey.
What is citizenship through naturalization?
Citizenship in the United States can be obtained via two avenues, birth or naturalization. You may be eligible to apply for naturalization if you have resided in the United States as a green card holder for at least 5 years, or if you are nearing this milestone. This requirement is reduced to three years if you are married to a U.S. citizen and have maintained this union during the 3 years preceding your date of filing.
Obtaining citizenship will require you to demonstrate requisite physical presence, continuous residency, good moral character, and knowledge of English and Civics to the satisfaction of the USCIS.
Once you are a citizen, you will be eligible to vote, have increased freedom to travel, can run for public office, and enjoy a myriad of other benefits associated with U.S. citizenship.
